We will have over 1200 players and delegates from over 25 countries participating in 2020 ICF Dragon Boat World Championships.

Dragon boat racing began in China more than 2,000 years ago. The first participants were Chinese villagers who held races to avert misfortune and encourage the rains needed for prosperity in the belief that it would show worship to the dragon, a traditional symbol of water. They believed that boat racing would ensure prosperous and bountiful crops. It is an exhilarating and enjoyable sport with crews of either 10 or 20 paddlings to the beat of a drum over a set distance. Today dragon boat racing has become the world’s fastest-growing water sport.
